International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an international English proficiency test. This test is a criterion to assess the English proficiency of those who are willing to pursue their education, work or immigrate. The IELTS is a joint effort of Cambridge University and IDP of Australia. This exam is highly accredited and standardized and assesses the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing of the candidates. So many universities in different countries like America, England, Canada, Australia, etc. recognize IELTS. It’s also necessary and required to submit the IELTS Test Report Form to different embassies to get the student or immigrant visa. This exam is held in 110 countries in many test centers. The score for each skill ranges from 0-9. The total band score is round-up average of the four skills. The exam Test Report Form shows the scores of different skills as well as the total. The exam has two modules of Academic and General.
The Academic Module is designed for those who are willing to pursue their studies in an English speaking country or foreign university, whereas the General Module is designed for those who want to immigrate to English speaking countries.
In the IELTS test the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing are separately assessed. The Listening and Speaking sections are the same no matter you take the General or Academic test. You yourself should decide whether you need to take part in the General or Academic test.
Bahar Language Institute holds IELTS Mock Test periodically (Weekly / Monthly) depending on seasonal demands.
